MEW ORLEANS MAGNIFICENT AVIARY A large outdoor aviary is to be built in Audubon Park New Orleans in the near future as an ad ¬ junct to the Zoo A publicspirited donation by K AV Hartman of Shreveport La oil operator and bird lover makes possible this splendid addition The new addition will consist of a large parrot aviary which will contain many species of this variety of bird and a large collection of exotic and song birds gathered by Mr llartman firm remote sections of the globe The new aviary will rIVjU in size and comprehensiveness oven the famous bird collection at Strawberry Hill San Francisco Both the parrot cage and the birds will be con ¬ tributed by Mr Hartman who will send his own architect to New Orleans to build the structure Mr Ilnrtninn is said to possess the finest private collection of birds in the Knifed States part of which is in Florida and the remainder in Pasadena Cfl Ills private collection is so enormous that he has for years retained an architect to build struc ¬ tures for him New Orleans is to have the services of this expert
