BREEDING STOCK NEVER SO HIGH Thoroughbreds never commanded a higher price in the Ililted States than they do at present This is especially true of breeding stock stockA A gentleman who wanted to secure a halfdozen wellbred mares with foal made inquiry recently of a Kentucky expert The figures quoted on mares with foal to horses whose stud fees did not exceed 300 ranged in price from 3000 to 8r00 while those due to foal to horses standing at from 00 to 1300 were quoted at from 1000 to 12000 the lastnamed figure being asked for a daughter of Rock Sand in foal to Fair Play PlayHigh High as yearling prices ruled in 1019 it is fair to assume that those of IDilO will surpass them
