NO DATE SET FOR CHANGES TO TOBE BE MADE AT BELMONT PARK Running the reverse way of the track at Bel ¬ mont Park is to be changed This has been def ¬ initely decided on by members of the AVestcliester Racing Association The change probably will not come this year on account of the short time be ¬ tween now and September 1 for removals nec ¬ essary for the accommodation of the public publicMajor Major August Belmwit last week said that the alterations would ultimately be made but plans had not matured sufficiently so as to announce the time for It Of course it would be an easy matter to reverse the order of running the horses said Major Belmont but there is a vast amount of removal and general work to do in order to accommodate the public so I cant say exactly when the final change will be made madeMany Many improvements wilf have to be made before the righthand way of running the horses at Bel ¬ mont Park can come The clubhouse will be moved to a space lie t ween the field stand and the grand ¬ stand The stewards stand will have to be moved at least a sixteenth of a mile in order to have a longer stretch run All the posfs will have to be reset It is certain that there will be no change made in the straightaway course
