HUNTING FISHING AND SPORT Recently the United States Senate passed a reso ¬ lution asking the President to negotiate treaties with countries south of the United States border for the protection of our migratory birels and the United States bureau of biological survey is now proceeding actively to secure such information as will be needed to make recommendations concern ¬ ing such treaties The Secretary of Agriculture has authorized the survey to send a competent and experienced ornithologist to Argentina Uruguay Paraguay and southern Brazil for the purpose of studying migratory birds from the United States thatpass our winter season in that region I Trout anglers continue to get sport at Itlagdnn Lake and recent captures effected havn included over twenty rainbow trout several of them being fine fish One weighed five pounds five ounces and another four and onehalf pounds The American rainlww trout have not been a success generally since they were introduced to English waters but they seem to find a congenial home In the Somerset lake and attain excellent condition cnttjng as pink as salmon for the table lilagdon rainbows are also tremendously game when hooked London Anglers News NewsA A boy of fifteen who was fishing in the Seine last week says the Paris correspondent of the London Daily Express caught a leather handbag handbagi i containing IHOOO francs in notes nominally S3 000
