ONLY FOUR RACES AT BLUE GRASS FAIR Muddy Track Causo of One Race Being Declared Off Pat Dunne Back from Saratoga. LEXINGTON. Ky., August 30. The Rlue Grass Fair opened here today. The racing program originally included five races, but owing to changed track conditions the fourth race, at one mile, was declared off and only four races were run. The track, after a heavy rain yesterday afternoon and last night, was muddy, and although the weather was warm and threatening the attendance was large. Messrs. Sam C. Xuckols, Jr., and R. L. Raker, who arrived last night from Windsor, and W. H. Shelley, who also is racing secretary, were in the judges stand. William Snyder is the starter and Gen. EIrod, who arrived last night from Windsor, is in charge of the pari-mutuels. Pat Dunne, accompanied by Mrs. Dunne and their son Francis, arrived last night from Saratoga. His horses also came. He brought Under Fire. Kate Fraley, Porte Drapeaii, Judge David, Old Faithful, Handsweep, Triomphant, Goldie Rose and Convoy. This morning lie took into the string Omond, which was fired and turned out and will now be put into condition for winter racing. In the car with the Dunne horses came Lady Algy and Rockland, to be retired to brood mare ranks at John E. Maddens Hamburg Place, and Servitor, to be turned out at Phil T. Cliinus Him-yar Stud. John R. McLaughlin, supervisor of pari-mutuels on the Kentucky tracks, came in this morning from Windsor. e ; 1 : : 1
