VOORMEL rail well, but tired after going to the front after entering the homestretch. MARY COWELL made up ground and finished fast. GEORGE 0. JR. also finished well. JACOBEAN tired badly. MAD MAY, fractious at the barrier, set the pace., from the start, but hUd to be ridden out to outstay CANTEEN GIRL. The latter began slowly and closed a big gap, but was tiring at the end. MARJORIE MIGNON gradually improved her position and finished with a rush. RECONNAISSANCE showed speed, but tired. AUNT DEDA and FAIR LASSIE ran poorly. Scratched 48315 Vera Twyford, 99. MORMON took a quick lead and drew .away after rounding the far turn, but came wide when entering the stretch and lost much ground, then was gaining- on the winner at the end. SALVATELLE set a good pace, saved ground on all the turns and outstayed SEDAN at the end. The latter tired after making a game effort on the stretch turn and racing into a brief lead.
