HORSES MAY DISPLACE. MOTOR SERVICE EL PASO, Texas, September 21. Is King Horse staging a "come-back"? It Seems the opinion prevails throughout Texas that he is. It has recently been discovered by experts that motor-driven cars, trucks and ambulances are decidedly more.expensive than the equine and that the cavalry arm of tlie service has decided to encourage the breeding of horses and mules on an extensive scale. That there is something iii this was reported by Major Jack Sallee, now in charge of the Remount Depot at Fort. Bliss. Major Sallee was reared in Kentucky, in an atmosphere where the thoroughbred horse is dominant, and he sees a great future for the thoroughbred sires .furnished by tlie United States" Remount Service for mixed breeding. The work at Fort Bliss is rapidly approaching the desired efficiency planned by the army officials who held that the thoroughbred was tlie true type of a horse to beget valuable remounts. It is doubtful whether the Juarez race track will open next winter, although there is a strong pressure being brought to bear, for the Mexican government to raise the 0 passport fee at once. i
