MAN 0 WAR EXTERMINATOR Manager Matt Winn Makes Offer of 0,000 for Special Race to Be Run in Kentucky. LATONIA, Ky., October 13. J. O. Keene, who was among the visitors at Kenilworth Park yesterday and witnessed the Sir Barton-Man o War nice, returned this morning. He informed manager Matt J. Winn that he thought Samuel I. Riddle Would be in a receptive mood to entertain a proposition that would bring Mano War here to engage in some special race. This view is taken on the supposition that Mr. Riddle would likely desire to make Man o War the greatest money-winning horse in the world before his retirement to the stud. At present he is nearly 5,000 off from Isinglass turf earnings. Mr. Winii at once set about getting in touch with Mr. Riddle to place before him an offer of ,00f; for a contest with Exterminator over the mile and a half distance, the race to be run either at La-tonia or Louisville. Mini o AVar is reported to have come out of Ills race with Sir Barton in excellent fettle, and it would require little or no effort to keep him in good trim for the mile and a half contest. At present Man o War is also in closer proximity to these parts than he has ever been since he was transferred east from Kentucky, so this in a measure should overcome the shipping prejudice. Mr. Winn is eagerly awaiting advices to his over-tureH, and the racegoing public hi this section is jflso eager for a glimpse of the horse of the century.
