MAN 0 WAR ESCAPES SERIOUS INJURY PHILADELPHIA, Pa., October 21. Man o War had a narrow escape from serious injury yesterday at the Rose Tree Hunt meeting at Media, Pa., where he was exhibited. The great thoroughbred was hauled from the Glen Kiddle Farm to Media on a truck. As the gang platik was lowered for the horse to walk down a big crowd rushed forward and some of the more excited persons cheered. Man o War. excited by the noise, sprang sideways from the gang plank and landed with a jolt on the ground. Before he could bolt a halt dozen- grooms grabbed the champion. He was not injured.
