Won easily; second and third driving. BEAVERKILL moved up resolutely after going a half mile and drew out decisively in the stretch. DR. CARMEN ran prominently from the start and disposed of A. N. AKIN in the first live-eighths, but tired after taking the lead. RIFLE ran well and finished fast. THE NEPHEW tired in the last eighth. A. X. AKIN set a fast pace and tired. GOLDEN QUINCE showed the most early speed, but tired in the stretcli drive. IONIA closed a gap and finished fast. - MABEL JOSEPHINE run well. The latter showed high speed in pacemaking for five-eighths and held on well to outstay THE BOY at the end. THE BOY was running fast at the end and would have been second in a few strides more. CLAUDE BROWN was done after going a half mile. JORICE was handicapped by the going. GEORGE STARR would not go and was practically left.
