LATEST KENTUCKY TURF GOSSIP LEXINGTON, Ky., December 7. E. R. Bradley, master of Idle Hour Farm, has returned from a business trip to .New York, and will remain here about two weeks before going south for the winter. George H. Strate, manager of Wikiup Ranch, California, left last night for Chicago, where he is to meet his employer. John II. Rosseler, and journey with him to New York. The Rosseter mares, which are here and which were inspected by Strate during the past week, are: Passing Shower, Lady of the Lake, Destruction, Squires Daughter and Wedding Cake. II. J. Drown of Portland, Maine, has renewed the contract with John Wilson Townsend whereby the French horse Pataud is to continue in the stud at Graeeland Furm for the season of 1921. Katy of the West dam of Ilermis. recently presented by William C. Goodloe to John Wilson Townsend, died this morning of the infirmities of age. Dan Devereux has sold to Stone and Rucker of Georgetown the Handsel mare Nancy Hogan and her weanling bay colt by Pataud. Captain Breckenridge Viley,j owner of Stonewall Farm, near Midway,- . in .Woodford County, has bought the. interest of John W. Schorr, in the Ben Brush stallion Vandergrift and If he does not dispose of him before the opening of the breeding season will stand him again at his farm, where also Jasqu an Bout, the French stallion purchased from the Joseph . B. Elwell estate by Major Minor of Natchez, Miss., is to make the season of 1921. John E. Madden left here yestenhly for New York, where lie is to meet John R, Rosseter of California concerning the plans fcr Friar Rocks 1921 season. Emil Herz, who has been at his Short Grass Stiid for the past ten days, will leave for New York tomorrow. In. addition to- Short Grass and twenty-one mares belonging to Herz and associates, Joseph Mar-rones stallion Glencairue and fourteen mares are at this good farm. Senator Joseph W. Bailey also has six mares there. A. .1. Joyner, who left for New York yesterday after having visited nearly all the farms in this section, complimented Herz on the crop of weanlings by Short Grass. He says they are us good individuals as lie saw anywhere. Short Grass service fee for 1921 will be 00, but he will not be permitted to. serve more than half a dozen outNlde mares. Hal Price Headley today said the fees for the four stallions at Beaumont Farm will be: Ultlmus, ,000; Brown Prince. 00; Uncle, 00; lluou, 00.
