9 SUIT OVER WINNINGS OF THE PORTER WASHINGTON, D. C, December 10. Edward B. McLean, publisher and owner of a pretentious racing stable, was named defendant in a suit filed yesterday by Samuel Ross, turfman. Ross is seeking to recover from McLean 7,920.01, Which represents one-third Of the winnings of The Porter since McLean came into possession of. the horse May 1, 1918. Ross told the court that when McLean contracted to purchase The Porter the stipulation was made that Ross should receive one-third of the winnings of the horse. It was declared McLean has refused to pay any amount of the winnings. ,
