CHINN SALE IS UNDER SUSPICION NEW YORK N Y May 13 A reverberation from the P T Chinn disposal sale of last Monday in the Jamaica paddock is heard in an announce ¬ ment that cmanatedi fiom the Jockey Club following a meeting of the stewards of that organization in their offices on Thursday night nightAccording According to the announcement the case of Chinn and his horses was referred back to the Maryland Racing Commission to attest to the good faith cf the sale When Chinn fell under the ban of the Maryland body the following language was used in the ruling against him himPermission Permission is given to P T Chinn to sell his horses if the stewards of any race meeting are sat ¬ isfied that the sale i bona fide fideThe The inference is that the stewards of the Jockey Club do not believe that the sale was conducted on the square Naturally this leads to the view that they consider that some of the horses were bought in l y persons whose expenditures were financed by Mr Chinn ChinnThe The course to be followed by the Jockey Club is somewhat cloudy inasmuch as it has placed the burden of proof of the genuineness of the sale upon the Maryland commission but it is known that pending the return of the desired evidence the iiorses involved in the sale will not be permitted lo start on tracks under the jurisdiction of the Jockey Club An attempt was made to enter Wishbone one of the purchases at the sale yes ¬ terday to race Friday but the entry was not ac ¬ cepted The next move in the affair must come from the Maryland Racing Commission CommissionThe The horses involved are Venizelos Wylie Op piiman Lnlly Costigan Shaffer Eager Eyes Wishbone Leghorn Beckna and Vinu
