SOME GOOD YOUNG MILITARY RIDERS NEW YORK N Y June 13 Major Pierre Lor illard who was one of the judges at the recent West Point Horse Show is loud in his praise of the way the West Pointers have come on in the way of horsemanship in the last year He attrib ¬ utes much of the improvement to the interest taken by Major A II Wilson who has done big things for polo at the Post The gun team competition had four smashing teams engaged The horses and equipment elicited the most favorable comment One of the most interesting classes and one which spells progress in horsemanship was that for the sons of army officers in which fifteen boys rode There was an allowance of 25 per cent for the mount and 73 per cent for horsemanship Major Lorillard gave credit for the fine showing of the gun teams to Major Devcrs and prophesied a still finer exhibition next year as the rinUtlfeBort of spirit is being manifested in the work
