QUEBEC HUNT CLUBS FIRST MEETING MONTREAL Que June 13 The inaugural meeting of the Quebec Hunt Club which opens on June 24 and continues until July 1 inclusive gives promise of being one of the most important minor meetings held in the Province of Quebec this year The Quebec Hunt Club was organized in 1900 but has never branched out into organized racing until this year Under the management of Mr Frank Sullivan who built the tracks at Mount Royal and Devonshire the meeting is sure to be a success successThe The grounds of the Exhibition Park wiicre the meeting is to be held comprize some 100 acres There is a beautiful park at the entrance and fine gate houses There is one of the largest grand ¬ stands in the Dominion being of steel and con ¬ crete with a seating capacity of 7500 people There are about 250 fine stalls an inclosed paddock a parimutuci building with machines for twenty four sellers and windows for thirty cashiers cashiersThe The directorate comprises some of the best people in Canada The racing department will be under the direction of Sheridan Clark who will be pre ¬ siding judge and racing secretary Charles Cam peati will he the clerk of the scales Edward Tribe the starter and Arthur Elrod supervisor of the mutuels
