CITATION closed a big gap -while racing on the outside and llnished fast. EAGER EVES showed speed, but tired in the last eighth. PARFLECHE ran gamely all the way. LAST STRAAV raced in a forward position from the start, and made a fast and game finish. ATALLKY OF THE MOON tired after following the winner in closest pursuit for the first live-eighths. BELLSOLAR, slow, as; usual, at the start, cam; fast through the stretch and outfiuished ENFILADE in the final drive. ENFILADE ran a good race, but tired in the last eighth. THIMBLE raced next to the inner rail in the early running, but came on the outside in the stretch and, under hard ruling, passed ALEXANDER HAMILTON. The latter set a slow pace under restraint to the stretch, but .tired badly in the last eighth. The others were never contenders after going the first half mile. FAIR PHANTOM -was away poorly, but worked herway through .on the inside arid finished fast and resolutely. YANKEE MAID ran well and had a rough race. JUNE GRASS was shuffled back after getting to the leaders when entering the stretch. SURF RIDER was forced wide oil the, way. FRENCH FURZE showed the most early speed and was eased up when beaten.
