SPENCE TO TRAIN FOR MONTFORT JONES SARATOGA SPRINGS, N. Y., August 8. Kay Spence has entered into a contract to devote his time after the close of the Kentucky racing season exclusively in the interest of Montfort Jones, for whom ho now lias in his stable at Latonia a half dozen horses. During the next two months Spence Will dispose of twenty horses, some of which he owns entirely and others in which he has a partnership interest with Col. W. E. Applogate. He will leave here Wednesday or Thursday for Kentucky witli Heid Girl, which Mr. Jones recently uur-chased from Schwartz Bros.; the three-year-olds Gusher, Memphis and Bristow, which has been turned out here since last year, and eight yearlings purchased privately from Messrs. A. B. Hancock and P. M. AValker at their Virginia establishment and shipped here with the Elierslie and Pagebrook consignments to the sales. The yearlings will go to Douglas Park, Louisville, where the twenty-two yearlings now owned by the Oklahoma oil magnate are being broken at Rodes Estills farm near Lexington, will be assembled within a few days after Spences arrival in Kentucky.
