BONIFACE, while racing under restraint and close up, saved ground on all the turns to the stretch, where he rushed into the lead, but had to be hard ridden through the last eighth to outstay MY DEAR. The latter, also under restraint until on the stretch turn, moved up resolutely, but appeared to be tiring at the end of a game finish. BRILLIANT JESTER set a fast pace for a mile and raced CLEAN GONE into defeat before tiring. CLEAN GONE tired badly.
