FOR MANHATTAN, HANDICAP Forty-Four Horses Are Eligible to Start in Belmont Park Opening Day Feature. NEW YORK, N. A.. August 30. The Manhattan Hantlieap, a feature of the opening day of the fall meeting at Belmont Park, has drawn an impressive entry lisl this year. Tlie race is at-one mile, for all ages, with ,500 added. Forty-four horses, including some of the best in the country, have been named for the race. The history of the Manhattan goes back to 1890, when il was inaugurated at the old Morris. Iark track.
