TWO GREAT LATONIA RACES Riders and Post Positions in the Championship Stakes and Fort Thomas Handicap. LATONIA, Ky., September 10. There are seven carded as starters in the rich Latonia Championship Stakes, which will have its third running tomorrow. It promises splendidly, for the cream of the countrys three-year-olds are named to contend over its trying mile and three-quarters. Interest in its probable result is in excess of that which was felt when Mad Hatter carried Sam C. Hildreths colors to victory in the initial running of the race and when Cleopatra triumphed last year. Again the East will be favored. It holds a formidable hand in the Rancocas-owned Grey Lag and the H. C. Fisher representative. Sporting Blood. Both came here from Belmont Park without mishaps and showed in their preliminaries that they are 1 in their top form. Kentucky will again, as in the Kentucky Derby, place its dependence on the E. R. Bradley pair, Black Servant and Behave Yourself. They will be tested here as never before. Rangoon is also a hope of the Kentuckians. but there is doubt as to his ability to stay the long route. Humphrey and White Star are muddy track performers and somewhat out of tune here. The post positions, riders and odds, computed by an expert, are: Horse. Wt. Jockey. Odds. 1 Humphrey 12G J. D. The Fort "honias Handicap, which serves as a supplementary feature, brings some o the crack two-year-olds of the year and considerable interest attaches to the performance of 3Iiss Joy, which is handicapped with 132 pounds. She will have Fair Phantom and Pegasus as aids in her quest for the prize. The post positions of the starters and their jockeys follow: Horse. Wt. Jockey. 1 Pindar Peel 115 0.
