WHY GELDINGS ARE BARRED , Reasons for Special Conditions to Aqueduct Carlton and Dwyer Stakes. The Queens County .lot-key Club in its stake conditions of 1922 specifies the barring of geldings from the Dwyer and Carlton Stakes. Gilding! three years old and over are no longer eligible to race in any stakes or condition race-clo-ing -eventy-two hours or more before the date of their running. Here i- the rule which applies: Rule 119A No gelding three years old or over shall be qualified to start in any race closing seventy-two hours or more before the date of running except handicaps and selling races. This rule shall not applv to homes gelded prior to February VA. 1919. Exterminator got into some of such races last year l ecau.-e he had been entered before the terms of tin- 1919 Jocky Club rule went into effect.
