FRENCH JUMPING STAKES VALUES PARIS. France. January 20. — Much interesting information is contained in the current Bulletin des Steeplechases. Th * Societe des Steeplechases, the only French racing society which has found it necessary to reduce the value of many of the big prizes, publishes the new conditions of its most important races. The Jrand Steeplechase de Paris, the tJrande Course de Haies, the Prix Wild Mon.nch and the Prix Finot have all been reduced one-third in value. I hough it is satisfactory to note they are still nearly twi«-e as valuable as they were before the war. Ivisl years ilrand Steeplechase was worth 0,500 to Roi Beige, the outsider which won. Furthermore, the Sociele des Steeplechases is expending huge sums on the improvement of the course at Auteoil and the budget for the present vear has been voted under exceptional circumstances.
