Yesterday was one of the most popular days in the history of the Tijuana race track, for an accounting disclosed that there had been a vent iMe | procession of first choices to reach the finish ahead . f all rivals. Clover, the good looking sou of General Roberts, showed that he must be reckoned with in die border lea-tare, for lie bested Wedding Prince in a hard stretch drive. Capt. Clover, as his breeding signifies, is a superlative mud runner. So much so that the half in ile- post recorded him in the lead. There on to the end he maintained his advantage, although Wedding Prime pressed him hard as they Beared the end. Capt. Clover won by half a length, thanks to the energetic riding of jockey Metcalf. while Wedding Prince was six lengths ahead of Doctor Tubbs. The "blind horse." not totally blind, but blind in one eye and moon eyed in the other, Kinglike. Beared his third straight victory in four racing days when lie galloped home to win the seventh race-, at four and one-half furlongs. The entered price of Kinglike has soared like oil stock for a gushing well. In his first out here Monday he- was entered for 0. Yesterday his en tercd price was jKL.r.OO and owner H. E.
