H. P. WHITNEY GOES ABROAD NEW YORK, N. Y., April 11— Harry Payne Whitney, breeder and owner of one of the largest racing establishments in this country, sailed for England today. No mention was made how long Mr. Whitney will remain abroad, but it is surmised that he will return in time to witness the running of the Kentucky Derby, in which he has several prominent candidates with excellent chances of winning.
