CYCLOPS raced in closest pursuit of TALL TIMBER in the early running and, taking the lead after a mild stretch drive, was going away at the end. TALL TIMBER set a fast early pace, but tired the last eighth. SUWEEP respoudid gamely to good riding and easily disposed of the others. Y1LDRAKE was off forwardly and saved ground on all the turns, but tired in the itretch drive. LOUISE GROODY raced gamely all the way and closed a big gap. CRANK ran in closest pursuit and made a game finish. TUFTER sccincd to tire, but came again in the last quarter and outstayed WAR MASK in the final drive. WAR MASK moved up rapidly while rounding the last turn, but tired in a game finish. WYNNEWOOD was never ireminent. CALIGULA was unprepared at the start. TRYSTUIt was waited with under slight restraint In tho early running and, coming fast through the stn-tch, raced into a clear lead when called on, but had to be shaken up in the final strides to withstand the rush of EXODIH. The latter moved up gamely on Uie turn and came extremely wide when entering the stretch, but finished witli great sieed. NOBUIE, away forwardly, was outpaced during the irly running, but finished fast and wore CALAMITY JANE down for third place. The latter slipped through on the inside when entering the stretch and raced into the lead, but tired badly in the last eighth. lEN ROSE rushed into the lead and set a rapid pace, but raced cut on the stretch turn, after which she tired. ON WATCH was unable to improve his position. THUNDERCLAP dwelt at tho start.
