CLANSMAN was shuffled back soon after the start, but made a fast finish. ELEMENTAL clo-ed a big gap. ULTIMO ran well, but tired and finished en the inside. GRACE MAYERS, after racing in cloe pursuit from the start, saved ground when entering the horacstretfh and, finishing fast and gamely, was going away at the end. CHAMPLAIN began slowly and was cut off at the half mile post, whore his rider was forced to pull him up, then closed a big gap with a rush and caught STAR JESTER in the final stride. The latter raced under a pull for the first three-miarters, but failed when called on. COLLINGA was forced wide when entering the homestretch. REDSTONE set a good pace, but tired. The latter came wide when entering the homstretch, but came fast and finished gamely. FANNIE BEAN ran well, but cut off IRISH JIG when she passed him on the backstretch. AQUATIC, fractious at the post, was bumped on the far turn and finished fast on the outside. KINGS COURT showed early speed. AUNT LIN quit after racing into the lead. GEM began sideways and . closed a big gap. DOCTOR JIM ran a bad race.
