The Stewards Cup, a handicap with ,000 added at three-quarters, was run at Goodwood today and resulted in an easy victory for Sir Hugh McCalmonta Tetrameter, 5, by The Tctrarch rMandola. Lord Wolvertons The Night Patrol was second and Sir H. Cunliffe-Owens Morning Light third. The weather was clear and bright and a fairly large crowd turned out for the racing. Thirty horses started in tbc Cup. When th race was half run jockey G. Smith sent Tetrameter to the lead and increasing his advantage steadily under restraint the horse came to the finish in a canter four lengths in front of The Night Patrol, while Morning Light just saved third place by a head from King Georges Weather Vane. The remainder of the field was pretty well strung out, with Lord Jerseys Scamp, quoted at 100 to 7 in the wagering, bringing up the rear. Tetrameter, Morning Light and Weath-i er Vane were joint favorites at post time at 10 to 1. The Night Patrol was quoted at 50 to 1.
