PUSS IN BOOTS SON T0PB00T Foxhall Keenes Colt Entered in the English Racing Classics of 1923. In 1916 Foxhall Keene sent Puss in Boots, a grand two-year-old filly, by Peter Pan Star Cat, to England. She had raced here below her tried quality, in the best company, as a two-year-old. She landed safely and was tried again in England, but disappointed. Puss in Boots was nominated for the One Thousand Guineas at Newmarket and the Oaks at Epsom. She started in the Guineas, but swerved as the field was dispatched and finished in the ruck. English racing saw no more of Peter Pans daughter. She was retired and last season was bred to Amadis. by Love Wisely Ga-leta, by Ladas. The produce was Top-boot, a bay colt, which Mr. Keene has entered in three English classics, the Two Thousand Guineas, Epsom Derby and Don-caster St. Leger. all of 1923, when Topboot will be a three-year-old. It will be of great interest to see what Puss in Boots son will do. He is in more English races besides the classic ones and has evidently been tried to be worth while. There is no better bred mare than Puss in Boots, whose pedigree is tabled below: . fHimyar m g Com- f Dmio Mannie Gray . rZ mando.
