SEVENTY-THREE ELIGIBLES Official List of Latonia Championship Candidates Announced. Majority of Three-Year-Old Stars Among Prospective Starters for 0,000 Prize. LOUISVILLE. Ky.. August 7. The official list of candidates for the Latonia Championship Stakes, made public today by the Kentucky Jockey Club, shows that seventy-three three-year-olds remain eligible. The race is at the distance of one mile and three-quarters, has an added value of 5,000, giving it an estimated value of 0,000. This valuable stake closed for entries July I, 1920, with 323 nominations. Its conditions are : By subscription of 5 each, for three-year-olds foals of 1919, 5,000 added, of which ,000 to second horse, ,000 to third horse, ,000 to fourth horse; the original nominator of the winner to receive ,000, of the second horse 00, of the third horse 00. and of the fourth horse 00. Colts and geldings to carry 12G pounds, fillies 123 pounds. To remain eligible the following payments to be made: January 1, 1921, cash payment of 5; January 1, 1922, cash payment of 0; starting fee, 00 additional. Ac- ceptances through the entry box the day before the race at the usual time of closing. In addition to first money the owner of the winning horse will be presented with a beautiful trophy. Among the remaining eligibles are Whisk-away, Bunting, Olympus. Busy American, Startle, Surf Rider, Rockminister, Ray Jay, Spanish Maize, Mercutio, Southern Cross, My Play, Missionary, Little Chief.
