MAY BLOSSOM raced on the outside for the entire race, but moved up gamely after entering the stretch and tired after racing into the lead. EVIL raced well in the going upd finished gamely. HOUD1NI was saved for the first two miles and .suffered from interference in the second turn of the field when M IN ATA cros ed and recrossed before him. but when called on gained steadily and, finishing gamely, wore BULLSEYE down and passed him in the final eighth. BULLSEYE raced prominently throughout, but was much used in racing WISEST FOOL into defeat and, tiring, could not withstand the winners challenge. PECCANT, under restraint in the early running, tired after going two miles. WISEST FOOL made a fast pace and jnmied well, but lost his rider at the final obstacle. EDICT, a forward contender from the start, moved up swiftly after entering the stretch and, under skillful riding, outfinished FLY BY DAY narrowly. FLY 15Y DAY set a fast pace for the going and finished resolutely, but could not withstand the winners challenge. BROCADE had a clear course on the outside for the entire race and lost ground when entering the stretch, but finished gamely and was gaining on the leaders at tiie end. BETTY BEALL, on the outside in the early running, saved ground in the final quarter and raced better than the chart shows. UNTIDY raced on the inside all the way and could not secure a clear course, but did not appear to stride freely in the going. HENNA and CREST A were off slowly. BUNELISE quit badly after running a fast half mile. THESSALY was never prominent. RON HOMME raced PRUDERY into defeat an took a clear lead after entering the stretch, but tired when called on for a final efTort. PRUDERY raced well for seven-eighths and was not persevered with when beaten. DOUGHOREGAN Kainrd rapidly after going a half mile and easily outfinished the others. NEWMARKET finished gamely. NEW HAMPSHIRE showed the most speed to the stretch and tired. CERTAIN and PENNON met witli inteiferenc on the stretch turn and were knocked out of their strides.
