DUNCECAP raced as if much the best, was repeatedly cut oft and shuffled back while endeavoring to slip through next to the rail in the first tliree-iiarters, but secured a clear course after entering the stretch and soon raced into a decisive lead. OVERTAKE raced prominently throughout in the best going and tired after taking the lead, but outfinished LEGHORN. LEGHORN met with interference and moved up rapidly on the stretch turn, but tired in the going. ZEALOT set the pace to the far turn on sufferance and quit badly in the final quarter. WHITE STAR, favored by the going, raced forwardly from the start and, slipping through on the inside on the stretch turn, raced into the lead, but was doing his best at the end to withstand DEXTEROUS challenge. DEXTEROUS, off well, was a close-up contender from the start and made a game finish. VIOLINIST raced on the outside throughout, but was in the best going and, finishing fast, was gaining on the leaders at the end. SAILING ALONG tired. DRY MOON was hard ridden for the entire race, but did not stride freely in the going. BELPHRIZONIA. in close quarters on the last turn and forced back to last place, gradually improved her position when clear and easily passed ADVENTURESS in the stretch drive. ADVENTURESS raced in ,the best going throughout, but tired after making a game rush when entering the stretchy INSULATE saved ground on the turns, but could not improve her position. ALLIE OCHS quit after showing speed for a half mile. SOUL MATE ran poorly in the going. Scratched 64480 Prima Donna, 99. CAPTAIN COSTIGAN raced intb the lead on the outside in the first eighth and drew away after rounding the last turn and was inclined to quit in the stretch, but outstayed PRIMA DONNA in the final drive. PRIMA DONNA steadily improved her position in the stretch and was wearing the leader down in the last strides. OWASCO showed much speed in the going and finished gamely. HOY was hard ridden throughout, but could not improve his position.
