MARSHALL FIELDS COLT FIRST, BUT DISQUALIFIED SPECIAL CABLE. LONDOX, England. October 13. Marshall Field III.s Friars Melody ran a fine race to finish first in the Clearwell Stakes at Newmarket Tuesday, but was disqualified after a long discussion by the stewards. The youngster ran out in the stretch and interfered witli Tornaveen, which finished second, a head behind him. The son of Friar Marcus Sweetest Melody is a good colt. He was conceding weight to Tornaveen and finished resolutely under Donoghues riding to finish first.
