FRENCH JOCKEY SITUATION PARIS, France, September 27. A. Esling, the young apprentice jockey who is rapidly coming to the front, was the most success-! ful rider on the flat in France during the last week. lie won four races. ONeill, McGee and Sharpe had three winning mounts, Bartholomew and Garner two. and Winklield and Haynes one each. The totals for the championship now stand : ONeill, 121; Bellhouse, 72; McGee, C5; Sharpe, 53; Bartholomew, 51 ; Garner, 4S ; Winkfield, 42 ; Stern, 2G ; Brethes and Esling, 24; llaynos, 23; E. AUemand, 19; G. Yatard, IS; Bosch and M. AUemand, 17.
