LOUANNA moved up fast after going the first quarter and was racing gamely at the end. MANICURE raced prominently for the entire way. GAMMER GURTON set a good pace, but quit badly after going three-eighths and ran a bad race. CRESTAYOOD BOY closed a big gap. Won easily; second and third driving. AALOISE raced into the lead at once and, holding it well, outstayed BELLE AMIE. The latter ran well and probably would have won but for swerving out badly in the stretch. YIOLET MAHONEY raced forwardly throughout, but began tiring near the end. GRASS MAID began slowly, but made up ground and was going fast at the finish. GOLDEN BILLOWS, away badly, closed a big gap. PORTLAND URN also made up ground. POKE BONNET was away poorly. LORD AVRACK set a good pace from the start and, after being passed, finished gamely for second place. AVIN OR QUIT raced well, but was tiring badly through the stretch.
