Won easily; second and third driving. PWASCO began slowly, but improved his position rapidly after going the first quarter and, closing up with a rush through the stretch, passed BACKET and won going away. RACKET was a forward contender from the start and took the lead on the stretch turn, but tired in the final eighth. PAPILLON displayed a good order of speed all the way and finished gamely. WRANGLER was prominent in the early running, but was in close quarters. ROSIE II. set the early pace and tired. SAXCIIO PANSY ran away a mile before the start and was pulled up after going a quarter. CAMOUFLAGE raced in closest pursuit of the winner in the early running, but tired in the stretch drive. JYNTEE finished fast. HOBEY BAKER finished well. VIGIL began slowly, but moved up gradually after going the first eighth and, making a wide turn when entering the stretch, came on fast and, finishing with a rush, passed OSPREY and won going away. BLUE HAWK was prominent all the way, finished gamely and outstayed OSPREY in the final drive. OSPREY showed excellent speed in pacemaking and saved ground on the turns, but tired badly in the final eighth. SUNDAY BEST ran a good race. LADY MYRA showed speed, but tired. ON WATCH began well, but was outpaced for the first half mile, then responded gamely when called on and, steadily improving his position through the stretch, wore the leaders down and won in the final stride. GENTILITY raced in closest pursuit of CROCUS in the early running and, responding gamely when called on, took the lead in the stretch, but could not withstand the winners challenge. CROCUS set an extremely fast pace for this track and only gave way right at the end. DRY MOON ran well and finished close up. Scratched GOSnFair Phantom, 110; GG346 Miss Joy, 105. The latter, under restraint in the early running, gained rapidly in the final quarter and was wearing the winner down in the final strides. ATTORNEY MUIR began slowly, but moved up steadily in the final half mile and easily passed LA KROSS in the final eighth. TOM McTAGGART quit after going five-eighths and finished very tired.
