ALMOST SOLD CRACK FOR 600 PARIS, France, November 3. The story is going the rounds in French turf circles of Pierre Wertheimers good fortune in changing his mind after he had decided to sell Epinard, the sensation of the 1922 French juveniles, for as a yearling. Wert-heimer had practically decided to sell the youngster, but at the last minute decided to consult trainer Eugene Leigh. Leigh at once advised his employer against disposing of the colt.
