CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF As in former years Monday Is the day of rest at both Havana and Tijuana, except during the Christmas holidays, when racing will be held every day. AVhilo Joseph E. Widener races quite an extensive stable here and abroad, his brother, G. D. AVidener, has only a modest establishment, which this year was made up of seven, only five of which actually raced. They won a total of nine races and 4,727. Cocktail, tho bay gelding owned by R. H. R. Toland, won the Radnor Valley Farm Challenge Cup race Thanksgiving Day at tho Radnor Hunt Club meeting, near Philadelphia, He wa3 ridden by Mr. Cheston, Incidentally this win gives Mr. Toland permanent possession of the valuable silver cup, as his welf-known "timber topper" Liakewood won tho event last year and the year before.
