SWEET COOKIE came fast through the stretch after passing MOONLET WAY, but finished tiring and just lasted long enough to outstay GRAY BONNET. The latter began slowly and was shuffled back, but closed a big gap and finished fastest next to the inside rail. CONUNDRUM also closed a gap and was going fast at the end. Won driving; second and third the same. EQUATOR, a forward contender from the start, was under hard riding all through the last quarter, but passed THE ENQUIRER and outlinished TOE THE MARK. The latter was taken to the outside in the last eighth and responded gamely to hard riding. THE ENQUIRER set a good pace to the last eighth and tired. BRUCE DUDLEY finished fast.
