COSDEN HORSES TO BELMONT Blazes Trained as Jumper and Expected to | Compete in Steeplechases. NEW YORK. N. Y., April 27.— Hugh . Garth, son of William Garth, the trainer of , the J. S. Cosden stable, has arrived at Belmont and is preparing the A. K. Macomber ■ stable for the reception of thirty of the Cosden . horses which are expected to reach there . this week. Mr. Cosden has leased the Macomber stable ! for the season. Hugh Garth reports that the following r horses of the Cosden stable have been l schooled as jumpers : Blazes, Bigheart, Good I Times and Roulette. Previous to Blazes recent victory in the I Harford Handicap at Havre de Grace he did 1 a turn of the steeplechase course at Pimlico. It is the opinion of the younger Garth that Blazes, which takes kindly to the cross-country sport, will be entered in several jumping » races this season.
