j j I PALMER TO START IN CANADA COLUMBUS. Ohio, April 27.— Word has been received here by George B. Palmer of his appointment to the position of starter on all tracks under the jurisdiction of the Quebec Breeders Association. Mr. Palmer has for a number of years past been chief assistant to .lames Milton and at present is acting in a similar position for Marshall Cassi -dy. L, G. Bedwell reports the filly Anita Hamp- ton has developed pneumonia and is in very bad condition.
