LORD ROSEBERYS TRIUMPH LONDON, Kngland. May 2— Before an enormous crowd Lord Uoseberys Kllangowan. a son of Lemberg and Lammermuir. won tiie Two Thousand Guineas at Newmarket this afternoon in a driving finish from Lord Wool-avingtons Knocfcando. Mrs. S. Whitburns DOrsay was third. Kighteen horses started ii; the race. The weather was clear and One, but the track was rather hard, which militated against the chances of some of the starters. Elliott rode the winner, while the American jockey George Archibald had the mount on KPocfcando, Both riders were driving their mounts bard through the final rush to the finish, but in a desperate struggle Kllangowan finished a head in front of Knockando. whiie DOrsay was but a half length behind. Kllangowan was quoted at 7 to 1 in the wagering, while Knockando was 23 to 1 and DOrsay 50 to 1.
