Won easily; second and third driving. EASTER BELLS showed a high flight of speed and, setting a fast pace from the start, raced into a long lead and easily held sway throughout. JOHN Q.. KELLY saved ground when entering the stretch and easily outfinished the others. BILLY BRUSH raced closest to the leader in the early running, but tired slightly near the end. DR. GLENN had no mishaps. RELIABILITY tired badly. NEW GOLD raced in closest pursuit of the leader to the stretch, then came fast and, taking the lead, won drawing clear. DUDLEY showed much early speed, but tired in the final sixteenth after racing into the lead. MULDRAUGH set a fast pace to the stretch and tired. PHYLLIS LOUISE made up much ground in the stretch. BENCH MANAGER showed speed. CORINTH tired. WILD LIFE was saved close up to the leaders to the last tccn, then moved up fast on the outside after entering the stretch and easily raced into a sufficient lead. CUKAMO, away forwardly, set a fast pace and came again in the stretch after appearing badly beaten. SAGAMOOK rushed up to the leaders on the outside on the far turn, but tired in the stretch drive. LIEUT. COLONEL ran a game race. DARNLEY quit. PARIS MAID ran poorly. BEST LOVE began slowly, but worked her way up-on the outside after rounding the far turn and raced into the lead in the stretch, but was driving hard at the end to hold GREAT JAZ safe. The latter was forced to be taken up slightly at the half-mile post, butfinished fast and gamely and wearing the winner down. PEGASUS was taken up at the start and forced to come into the stretch on the outside and finished with a belated rush. CERTAIN showed the most early speed and set a fast pace, but tired badly in the last eighth. JIMMIE DAW finished well. CHERRY TREE set a slow pace on sufferance, but easily held TIP TOE INN safe. TIP TOE INN raced in elcsc quarters for the first mile and easily outstayed FANTOCHE through the last quarter. The latter followed the others in the rear for the first mile, then moved up on the outside, but tired and quit badly in the last quarter. Scratched 74815 Fancy Free, 98. LADY FOX showed brilliant early wgmi and set a great pace, but tired slightly in the last sixteenth. PEARL MESTA -was alwaya cloae end finished fast and gamely. MAH JONG finished with a rush. DONGES raced close up next to the inner rail to the half-mile post and, "being taken to the outside, easily raced into the lead" and won as his rider pleased. GREAT LUCK, on the outside of the leader tcr the first half mile, made a wide turn when entering the stretch and just lasted long enough to outstay LLEWELLYN. The latter closed up witli a rush in the final eighth. RESTING TIME showed speed and set a good pace, in the stretch. NORMAL finished close up.
