PIML1CQ TURF NOTES j T. W. OBrien was among the arrivals today. Captain William Duhaine arrived from New York and supervised the policing of the grounds. Danny Louder has taken over the engagement book of jockey Milner, who was developed in Cuba last winter. Dave Leary arrived from New York today and took over the division of the Ran-cocas stable, which will be raced here. Jack Welsh, the theatrical man, came down from New York with a party of friends to witness the decision of the Pimlico Futurity. On examination it was found that steeplechase jockey J. Rowan suffered a broken leg when thrown from St Lawrence in Thursdays race. The boy was removed to the hospital. Trainer T. Moran has made arrangements to ship the W. L. S. Martin stable from here to Louisville, Ky., at the end of this meeting, where they will go into winter quarters. Harry McCotter, formerly a well-known trainer, but who deserted the turf to take over the Oceaintide baths at Coney Island, arrived and will remain for the remainder of the season. Jockey J. Shelepets, who was injured in a fall yesterday, showed improvement this morning according to the doctors at th his-pital. The boy is suffering from slight concussion and shock. Jockey W. Marsters, who was injured in the same steeplechase, was discharged from the hospital last evening. A public auction will be held in the paddock at Pimlico, on Friday, November 0 at 10:15 a. m. The stables of F. J. Farrell, J. S. Cosden and E. J. Downey have signified their intention of disposing of some of their horses. Frank "Kidney" Wilson, agent for the H. C. Fisher stable, arrived from New York today and will make arrangements to ship Mr. Mutt to Louisville, Ky., to fulfill his engagement in the Jockey Club Handicap at that point.
