ANSWERS TO QUERIES Communications without names and addresses will not be noticed nor answered. F. E. Z Dayton, O. Full o Fun was scratched from the third race at Akron, O., October 3. Queen of the Spa won the seventh race at 90 to 100 straight, GO to 100 place and 30 to 100 show. A- P., St Louis, Mo. Papyrus had a slight advantage over Zev at tha beginning of the International race and. according to some accounts, had his nose in front briefly; but so briefly that at the end of the first eighth Zev was leading by a length. Will advance no opinion concerning the matter submitted. J. L. B., Detroit Mich. Loftus continued to ride Man o War after he was beaten in the Sanford Memorial Stakes, subsequently winning the Grand Union Hotel Stakes, Hopeful Stakes and Futurity Stakes on him. Kummer rode the colt in his races as a three-year-old. T. D. R., Milwaukee, Wis. There does not appear to be any real question involved. There was no parlay, but a case of two separate bets. A straight bet on Post Haste and a contingent "if coming" bet of on Defiant Both horses won at prices not even approaching the layers limit and all he should have done was to settle promutly.
