ANNIE LYLE clcsed a gap and finsuod gamely. WAUKULLA ran well. KIT came fast in the stretch. BONA VERA was away badly. WESTWOOD closed a great gap and was going fastest of all at the end. SIMPLETON raced prominently all the way. BOSH was given a bad ride and brought wide into the stretch. SISTER FLO tired. AVISPA set a good pace to the far turn and quit. WHISKAWAY set the early pace and after being passed outstayed BELZONI in the final drive. BELZONI made up ground and finished gamely. LADY MADCAP had no mishaps. LADY ASTOR was always outrun. The latter ran a good and game race and stood a hard drive resolutely. CHILHOWEE was a forward contender all the way, but tired near the end. WORTHMORE set a fast pace te the stretch and was tiring in the last eighth, but finished gamely. KING GORIN II. came from far back and finished fast. GIBLON and CLOISTER raced well. LORD WRACK was saved under hard restraint until in the last half, then raced into a long lead with ease and won in a canter. PARIS MAID began slowly, but came fast after going a mile and made a fast finish. HALU showed the most early speed, but tired and barely outstayed KIMPALONG. The latter closed a gap and was going fast at the end. FRIZ quit after racing into the lead. Overweights Peter Foy, 3 pounds; Little Ed., 4.
