JOCKEY ROWAN RECOVERING BALTIMORE, Md., Jan. 2. James Rowan, the steeplechase jockey who has been in a local hospital for a considerable time as the result of a broken leg received in a steeplechase fall, is expected to be able to accept mounts early in the Maryland spring racing season of. 1924. It has been found necessary to break the leg twice since his accident before it could be properly set. The latest x-ray of the injured leg shows the setting to be perfect and Rowan expects to . be exercising horses next month, lie will take up his duties with the stable of W. V. Dwyer. .
