Won handily; second and third driving. BRILLIANT CAST raced into a good lead at once and, setting a fast pace, won all the way. WILMER THE WIZARD raced sluggishly in the early running, but was hard ridden in the stretch and, responding well, finished fast and gamely. FAUSTO ran a good race and came fast through the last eighth. THE REAPER closed a big gap and gained steadily in the stretch. QUIVERO also came fast through the stretch. KINGSCLERE, showing the most speed and away fast, raced into a good lead at once and kept it, but j had to be hard ridden for a time in the last sixteenth. ORLOVA. also away well, dropped back after going I j ! the first quarter, but came again in the stretch and was running fast at the end. DR. JOE was far back in the early racing, but came with a rush in the last eighth and would have been second in a few more strides. CORTO ran a good race, only tiring near the end. JOCK SCOT ran well. DUSTABOUT, under good riding, followed EPISODE closely for three-quarters and, racing into the lead J midway of the stretch, held TONY BEAU safe at the end. TONY BEAU made up ground and came fast t in the stretch, but tired and just lasted to save second place. WINNER TAKE ALL dropped back after going a half mile, but came again near the end and was going fast at the finish. EPISODE showed the mcst early speed, but was done after reaching the last eighth. VALENTIA moved up fast after going a half mile e and, saving ground when ctming into the stretch, finished well and outstayed ATTORNEY. The latter r was far back in the early running, but finished fast and gamely. WAR IDOL tired badly in the last t quarter. LA ORB quit after going well for three-quarters.
