FAIR GROUNDS NOTES I Bob McKecver has moved "Watch Charm, Herbertus, Muskallonge, High Speed and Metal from Jefferson Park to the Fair Grounds. Mose Goldblatt, acting far Harry Payne Whitney, today disposed of the two-year-old Compact, by Whisk Broom II. Beauteous, to Mose Shapoff at a private sale. Word was received today of the death of Lucius "Fatty" Philiips, well-known bookmaker, who had operated on every prominent track in America. He died in Chicago. Another well-known bookmaker that died last week in Chicago was Barney Sanders, who also operated at the principal tracks, but was more widely known in Chicago. The protest lodged by trainer M. J. Murphy against the claiming of Kingsclere Saturday by Mrs. H. McQuage was not sustained by the stewards today and Kingsclere will go the stable of her new owner.
