: j i i i t I r i ; ROSSARIO BREEDING FARM HAVANA, Cuba, Feb. 5-. Edward Moore and J. J. McCafferty, two of the veterans who are racing here this winter, spent the last week-end at the spacious Rossario Breeding Farm of Julio Gomez, at Aguacake, which is near Matanzas, forty odd miles from Ha- . vana. They brought back brilliant reports of the establishment, which is one of the show places of the island. There are about 12 mares at the farm, and were chosen by Mr. McCafferty from blood lines picked out by Lee Wagner. They have been mostly bred to the Rock Sand stallion -Pastareau and Sinn Feiner. Pastareau is by Flint Rock Prickly Pear, that raced with some success under the silks : of Mose Goldblatt, while Sinn Feiner, it will i be remembered, performed for Billy Oliver. The latter horse is by Land Lague, by Des- i mond. i
