PARNELL, showing the mcst speed, raced to the front quickly and, under hard riding, barely managed to outstay DON EDUARDO. The latter carried his weight gamely and, finishing fast, was rapidly overhauling the winner at the end. UK A It SHOT made a game finish. HERDSMAN, beginning from the extreme outside, closed a gap and finished with a great rush. SILENT PARDNER quit badly. NOTKNOUGH and KOSMAN ran well. WILD THOUGHTS, after setting the pace, tired when r.earing the end. SAN GRADO ran well, but tired badly in the final eighth and was lucky to save third place. LADY MOORE finished fast.
